Beachlands hosts the Primary Extension and Challenge (PEAC) program, a part-time withdrawal program for upper primary school Year 5 and 6 students in public schools. We have 49 schools within the Mid West region and a total of 51 Year 5 and 6 students participating in PEAC in 2023.

Programs focus on:

  • social interaction with gifted and talented peers
  • intellectual rigour and challenge
  • pursuit of excellence
  • development of higher order process skills
  • in-depth investigations of real problems
  • open-ended activities which encourage choice and negotiation
  • opportunities to interact with practising experts
  • students working at their own pace
  • self/peer evaluation and reflection of performance

Synergy Solar Car Challenge (Hosted at CBSHS)

Week 7 or 8 Term 1 (Year 6 only)

First Lego League (Term 3: 2023)

Australian Season Registration:  January – September

New Season Launch & Kit/Set Shipments:  August

Challenge – Regional Qualifying Tournaments: Late October – Early November

Scitech Challenge Day ($35 per student. Parents arrange transport)
